How to Play
Everything you need to go from a full cube to a clear one.
The Basic Move
Every arrow on the cube points in a direction. Tap an arrow and it tries to slide off the cube in that direction. If the path ahead is empty, it slides off cleanly and counts toward clearing the level. If another arrow is sitting in the way, your tap bounces back red and costs a life.
Reading Blocked Moves
When a tap is blocked, the arrow slides until its tip hits the blocker, flashes orange, then springs back — so you can see exactly which arrow stopped it. Use that information: the blocker usually needs to move first.
Your very first blocked tap on any level is free — a built-in grace tap that costs no life, so a misread on a new level never sets you back.
Orbiting & Zooming the Cube
Drag with one finger to orbit the cube trackball-style, with momentum. Pinch to zoom in on crowded faces, and drag with two fingers to pan around while zoomed in. Double-tap empty space to snap back to the default view, or tap the cube-reset button beneath Restart.
Precision Mode
On busier boards, Precision mode turns a tap into two steps: the first tap only highlights an arrow, and a second tap on it confirms the move. Nothing is penalized until you confirm — it's the safest way to read a crowded cube before committing. Turn it on or off any time in Settings.
Multi-Face Arrows
From level 16 onward, some arrows span more than one face — you'll see >>, >>>, or >>>> chevrons marking how far an arrow's path runs before it lifts off. Its whole path, across every face it crosses, has to be clear for the slide to succeed.
Boosts
Three boosts live in the bottom bar, each with a long-press tooltip:
Hint — pulses an arrow that's currently free to slide. Three free per day.
Peel — removes one free arrow for you, no penalty. Earned through stars.
Heart — grants one extra life for the current level. Earned through stars.
Tapping a boost you don't have opens an explanation — never an ad.
Save & Resume
EdgeAway saves your exact state — every remaining arrow, your lives, your camera angle — after every single move. Close the app, take a call, or switch levels; your campaign level is always right where you left it when you come back.
The Daily Puzzle
A fresh puzzle unlocks every day, separate from your campaign save, from the Home screen's Daily card. Solving it keeps your streak alive. There are no stars or boosts on the line — just the puzzle itself.
Difficulty
Settings → Difficulty mode lets you choose Relaxed (an extra life, grace tap, and Precision mode on), Standard, or Challenge (one fewer life, though never below two). Change it any time — it only affects levels you start from then on.
Winning a Level
Clear every arrow to win. You earn 3 stars for losing no lives, 2 stars for losing half or fewer, and 1 star otherwise. If you run out of lives, you can Retry immediately or spend a free daily second-chance token to Continue exactly where you stopped.
